Amber Sears is an international pilates and yoga teacher, holistic nutritionist, former professional dancer and business coach. I’m a sun worshipping environmentalist, and planet romping entreprenuer,

She runs wellness retreats around the world, has written 800+ articles on Epicself.com, and does online business coaching with a specialty in womens business coaching.  Her new podcast Soul Powered is set to launch soon.

I’ve followed Amber since 2008 when she was living in San Francisco and I was in New York.  I reached out to her to see if she’d be interested in contributing to our newly launched website under30ceo.com.

Since then, Amber and I have followed parallel paths.  She moved down to Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica to open a wellness center, and I took her yoga class somewhere around 2013. She lived in the jungle, like I did, where she escaped the madness of life in the states, and not only worked to build a location independent business but went through an incredible spiritual transformation.

We talk a lot in the episode about her experience hosting ayahuasca retreats, and what type of inner-work you should expect, including mental, emotional, spiritual, and dietary protocols.  We also warn people against doing psychedelics for fun and finding a therapeutic setting if you feel called to do embark on this type of inner journey.

Coincidentally, she’s now living in Austin as I am, with her husband J.P. Sears, and we talk about reintegration to “real life” and how to prepare yourself if you are coming back from international travel, a yoga or meditation retreat, or psychedelic experience.

Amber says to be sure to “embody the lessons you are taught.”
